Frank Sidebottom was the papier-mâché-headed prankster from Manchester who achieved cult status and couldn’t be forgotten by anyone who saw him. His reputation has only grown since the death of the man behind the mask, Chris Sievey, in 2010 and this feature-length tribute documentary acts as a kind of posthumous crowning glory for him. From the recollections of those here (family members, Jon Ronson, Mark Radcliffe, Johnny Vegas), you’re left in little doubt that Sievey, a madcap musician/performance artist/stand-up maverick, was a one-off.
