MUMBAI: For many undergraduate medical degree aspirants, age just seems to be a number. Very rarely we find people above the age of 30 in undergraduate programmes as it is difficult to cope with the syllabus. The CBSE circular capping the age of candidates was disheartening. "There are students who have studied in madrassas till the age of 10 and then joined mainstream schooling. But for undergraduate courses in medicine, most are in the age group of 17-20 years.
