Allies of Deputy President William Ruto are up in arms against President Uhuru Kenyatta for snubbing his deputy during the Madaraka Day celebrations held at Uhuru Gardens, Nairobi, on Wednesday. It has been a norm that Deputy President would speak first and in turn, welcome his boss the President to address the nation. Reacting to the shocking turn of events, Wetangula blasted the president saying he has soiled the image of the nation. Wetangula further castigated the President saying he used a national event as a campaign tool for the Azimio coalition at an event graced by local and foreign dignitaries. Even if you denied him the chance to speak, Ruto will be given a chance to address Kenyans after 9th August," Nyoro said.
