Competitors and spectators alike said the wet weather could never stop them from showing up. Kim Richards, of Alexandra, said the wet conditions should not have much of an impact on the events. The Wānaka rodeo is part of the South Island Christmas circuit which consists of five rodeos, in which competitors can earn points towards national titles.
