KUALA LUMPUR: Westports Holdings Bhd’s (Westports) subsidiary, Westports Malaysia Sdn Bhd (WMSB) is acquiring a 146.4 hectares leasehold land in Klang, Selangor for RM393.96 million from its major shareholder, Pembinaan Redzai Sdn Bhd (PRSB). “Our current CT facilities, comprising CT 1 to CT 9, is operating at a utilisation rate of about 77 per cent of its total terminal handling capacity. “We expect our current CT facilities to reach near full utilisation within the next few years,” it added. “The proposed expansion is to support the expected long-term growth in the coming decades. “Nevertheless, we are planning for a multi-billion container terminal expansion to facilitate longer-term growth.
