Ambassadors of France, UK, Italy, and the US expressed profound concern about the growing violence at the oil crescent region. In a joint statement, they called for an end to the fighting in there so that Libya can avoid having its oil sector's infrastructure damaged. They added that the oil facilities must be under the supervision and protection of the National Oil Corporation alone as per the UN Security Council's resolutions.
