Western Carolina University has received high marks from a national business magazine as a place to work. Western was also named 34th on the list of 400 nationwide of mid-size employers which are employers between 1,000 and 5,000 employees. “Western has approximately 1,600 full time faculty and staff,” says Cory Causby, associate vice chancellor of Human Resources and Payroll at WCU. “Sporting events, whether it be following the Pride of the Mountains Marching Band, whether it be other programming. Just having access to walking trails.”Chancellor Kelli Brown says this ranking by Forbes is a testament to the dedication of the staff and faculty who work at WCU.
