A local man lad has bucked the national trend and shaved eight years off the average age of buying his first home, becoming a homeowner at the age of 23. He has been saving for a deposit since he was 16 in order to buy his first home and he credits his success to a good work ethic. The 23-year-old runs a woodburner installation business with his parents, called IJ Marshman of Trowbridge and bought a two bedroom apartment at Newland Homes’ Heron Rise development in Westbury.
