Toronto police said the westbound Gardiner Expressway has reopened following two separate crashes Monday morning that sent a man to hospital. Toronto police said it responded around 5:30 a.m. Monday to reports of a two vehicle collision on the westbound section of the highway. That crash wasn't serious, but while responding at the scene a Toronto Fire truck was struck by a third vehicle that wasn't involved in the initial crash, Toronto police Const. The man driving the vehicle that struck the fire truck was transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, Sarudi said.
