West Ham boss David Moyes wants to add some firepower to his squad and the club are planning to make a deadline day swoop for Olivier Giroud, with Chelsea placing a £3million valuation on the veteran striker, according to reports. Giroud has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this month as the forward only has six months remaining on his current contract. According to Football Insider, a West Ham source said the club has a strong interest in Giroud and will table a multi-million pound loan offer. The Hammers lost 2-0 to Liverpool on Wednesday and after the defeat Moyes was asked if he wanted a new striker before the window closes.
