Pardew, who was dismissed last week as West Brom manager, will appear before a three-man independent tribunal to defend Rodriguez against an allegation that he racially abused Gaëtan Bong, the Brighton & Hove Albion defender. It is understood that no other players or officials heard the exchange between Rodriguez and Bong during the game at The Hawthorns on January 13, during which Rodriguez is accused of using racist language to the Cameroon defender. The West Brom forward strenuously denies the allegation. Pardew will be a character witness and could also testify about Rodriguez’s immediate reaction to the accusation…
