She reached out to her building's landlord but is still waiting to hear back about a possible rent deferral. Amberley Teeninga and her husband rent out their basement unit and another property they own, and they rely on the income from their tenants. Mounsteven said she's still waiting to hear from her landlord about help with rent for her apartment in Georgetown.
