Carsharing is about to expand in Hamilton with Mevo entering the local market in a multi-million dollar deal. From April 1, Loop will be owned and operated by Mevo Ltd, bringing an opportunity for Hamilton to have a larger and faster-growing carshare business. It will take over operation of Loop carshare on March 31, to prepare for a transition to the Mevo app and brand later in the year. Hamilton City Council CEO Richard Briggs said carshare is a key transport option for the future of the city. I look forward to welcoming Mevo later in the year to continue the growth of this service in our city”.
