WELLINGTON CITY COUNCILHow to accommodate 50-80,000 more people in the next 30 years in more densely populated communities, primarily the CBD. Climate change is expected to result in sea level rise, increased frequency and intensity of storm events, and increased frequency of drought. A climate change champion will focus on advising councils on actions they could be taking to mitigate climate change, including council operations and community actions. SOUTH WAIRARAPA DISTRICT COUNCILWater resilience is a key priority for the future and the council is soon to embark on a Water Resilience Strategy.
