Kevin Stent/Stuff Sparrow was in his third term on the city council. Councillor Simon Woolf said Sparrow was “head and shoulders, the best constituent ward Councillor I had the pleasure to work alongside”. Sparrow was previously chair of the Tawa community board, to which he was first elected in 2005.
