Share TweetBy Jeffrey DamicogThe camp of WellMed Dialysis and Laboratory Center has demanded the release of its owner from the custody of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI). “In view of the foregoing, we respectfully demand the immediate release of Mr. Sy for there is no ground, under the laws, rules or regulations, for his continued detention,” he stated. He was brought before the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Tuesday for inquest along with the two whistleblowers, former WellMed employees Edwin Roberto and Liezel De Leon. Under the complaint, WellMed was able to get from Philhealth P808,600 for 27 “ghost dialysis” claims representing 280 dialysis sessions.
