Well-known Cork tennis coach passes awayA passionate Cork tennis coach and organ donation awareness campaigner has passed away. The 51-year-old Crosshaven woman was a well-known tennis coach and player across Cork and wider Munster. Following a kidney transplant in 2006, Ms Twomey was also a member of the Irish Transplant Team and represented Ireland at the European and World Transplant Games. She was passionate about coaching and shared her knowledge with clubs in Crosshaven, Carrigaline, Bishopstown and Munster Tennis. Requiem Mass will be held in St Brigid's Church, Crosshaven on Tuesday at 11am, followed by funeral afterwards to St. Patrick's Cemetery, Crosshaven.
