Corina Johnston, Labour Party Area Representative for Donabate and Portrane has welcomed the undertaken given by Fingal County Council for the provision of outdoor shower facilities at Fingal beaches. Ms Johnston said; “This was outlined in a recent reply to our ongoing representations on this issue. Fingal County Council confirmed that it’s area engineer is actively looking for suitable locations for outdoor shower facilities at a number of beaches including Donabate, Portrane and Rush.The key to the delivery of such facilities will be access to a portable water supply and drainage.”She added: “Over the past few years Cllr. “We made a number of submissions during the consultation process to the Fingal Development Plan relating to our beaches. “These included shower and changing facilities,wheelchair access and baby changing facilities in our public toilets.
