Obese men with low levels of testosterone who had injections of the hormone experienced dramatic weight loss, according to a study of German medical records presented to the European and International Congress on Obesity. An 11-year analysis of data found that men in the highest obesity category, who were most eligible for bariatric surgery, benefited from testosterone. Fifty nine men received testosterone therapy instead of surgery or other treatments and their weight decreased by an average of 30kg.
