Weight Watchers has apologised for any offence it may have caused by sending women light bulbs to promote a programme that focuses on body image and sex. The message on the box containing the bulb said Weight Watchers had heard more than half of women had avoided sex because they were worried about how they looked. In a statement on Thursday Weight Watchers said it had embarked on a campaign to share personal insight from some members, who had spoken about how health and wellbeing improvements empowered them to feel more confident.
