Sir, – It seems that a small number of inexplicable clots are preventing the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine. With the best will in the world, success in dealing with Covid-19 might only mean dying of other things. Sir, – Am I correct in assuming that the over cautious suspension of the AstraZeneca vaccine has more to do with our Government’s fear of litigation by an over-litigious country such as ours, than of medical science? – Yours, etc, MARION WALSH, Donnybrook, Dublin 4. Sir, – Suspending the AstraZeneca vaccine is akin to preventing an ambulance taking a patient to hospital on the grounds that the ambulance could be involved in an accident en route.
