PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has questioned why Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng has changed his stand over the Kulim International Airport (LTAK) project. He said Lim, the former Penang chief minister, had said that from an economic perspective, the airport in Kedah should not be built. Dr Wee said that Lim, however, was now in favour of the project. "Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said that although the airport in Kulim was for cargo purposes, it would bring negative impact to Penang. "He said that neither the government nor Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) has to spend anything because the project will be fully sponsored by the private sector," Dr Wee added.
