The Robinson R44 helicopter plunged into the ground at Terrace Downs Golf Resort about an hour out of Christchurch soon after take-off on June 12. Mahdi Zougub and Fay El Hanafy were injured in a helicopter crash soon after their June 12 wedding alongside photographer Rachel Jordan and pilot Lynda Harrap. All four suffered extensive injuries and were rushed to Christchurch Hospital. It's understood the newlyweds remain at Christchurch Hospital. It revealed it had requested a review of "the data and other evidence gathered over the last four weeks by an independent, highly respected helicopter pilot andflight instructor".
