Britain could be set for its warmest October weather in seven years as warm air from southern Europe brings temperatures of up to 77F this week. A high of more than 75.5F on Wednesday would be Britain's hottest October day since 2011, when Gravesend, Kent enjoyed a peak of 85.8F on October 1, Met Office records showed. Met Office meterologist Alex Burkill told MailOnline temperatures would be some 14F above average as warm temperatures continue into the autumn following a record-breaking summer heatwave. It's summer's last hurrah, with Indian Summer-style weather through mid-October shown on computer models, with 77F highs possible in midweek. 'Very warm air is being pulled up to Britain, but the clash with Atlantic disturbances means very strong wind gusts around 75mph likely in parts of the North.'
