It was the 18th year for the Gerry Pomerleau Memorial Ride, put on by the Auto Road and the New Hampshire ATV Club. For the one-day event, the road is closed to passenger cars so that masses of ATVs can safely go up and down the mountain. Despite the typically challenging Mount Washington weather, Auto Road Marketing Director Crispin Battles reported a successful event. Auto Road personnel vowed it would not happen again. He added that the Auto Road will consider expanding the ATV event to a second day next year but that no decision has been made at this point.
