A second yellow weather warning has been placed on a further eight counties today. After a week of glorious sunny weather, some parts of the country will experience flooding and thunderstorms today as the weather take a turn for the worst. A thunderstorm warning has been issued for Donegal, Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim, Longford, Louth, Meath, and Westmeath. Met Eireann have said there is a risk of scattered thunderstorms which could lead to spot flooding in these areas. This follows a yellow weather warning issued yesterday for six counties in Northern Ireland.
