I always thought of this as a sort of sharing economy application for business users. This week WeWork acquired Meetup, Inc. after having seen each other across the New York startup scene for a few years, presumably eyeing a match made in heaven. For supply chain strategists the combination may offer another layer of agility by blending elements of uberization with the power of social media in a market-ready package. The sharing economy has emerged as one of the key tools available to cope with this added complexity. In New York, for instance, there are currently 101 Meetup groups within 25 miles that are dedicated solely to adventure and the outdoors.
