Health News of Tuesday, 30 March 2021Source: www.ghanaweb.comThe Eastern Regional Head of the Food and Drugs Authority, Mr. Samuel Kwakye has said that they are going to collaborate with the Ghana Police Service to clamp down on all illegal operators in the food chain industry. This, he said, will be a means of helping to sanitize the industry which will lead to safeguarding public health and safety. According to him, they want to enforce the public health acts on illegal operators in the food chain industry. He was speaking during a stakeholder engagement and training program for water manufacturing producers in the Eastern Region. He also said they are ready to collaborate with the authority to flush out illegal operators who are manufacturing in their bedrooms to the authority to face sanctions to help sanitise the industry.
