Canada is about hockey but Toronto, we now know, is about the Raptors. They represent brilliantly the inclusive diversity of the place, where over half its people identify as visible minorities. It’s reflected in the team, the fans in the arena, and especially outside. When French CBC reporters ask questions at media events and African-born Pascal Siakam or Serge Ibaka answer in French, it feels so normal. Playing it requires expensive stuff, especially for your kids, who keep growing.
