General News of Sunday, 29 August 2021Source: GNAMr. Stephen Kweku Danso, a Blood Donor Programme Officer has stated that the National Blood Service is experiencing shortfalls in blood stock. “We need blood to save lives, we need more donors and volunteers to come forward to help us save lives”. "It is going to be a challenge because these are the people that we depend on for voluntary blood donation. He also called on faith based organisations and corporate organizations to lead the crusade for voluntary blood donation to save lives; “we need people to volunteer by walking to the various blood donation centers, blood banks and health centers to donate". Mr. Danso called for attitudinal change towards blood donation and appealed to individuals, groups, corporate institutions, media houses and all organizations to help support the National Blood Service through voluntary blood donation.
