The Lagos State Transport Sector Reform Law of 2018, Sec 15(1) says motorcycles with 200cc engine and above are exempted from the restriction. Beyond that, we also pay taxes to Lagos State Inland Revenue Services and also Federal Inland Revenue Service. So, our drivers also pay okada unions N500 per day in order to operate. They said Lagos State University Teaching Hospital recorded 1,200 accident cases in 2019 with 500 being motorcycle-related.
