Hajia Fati is reported to have assaulted the journalist Friday, May 4, at the NPP headquarters in Accra, when the journalist went there to cover picking of party’s nomination forms. The Ghana Journalist Association and the Media Foundation for West Africa among other interest groups have all condemned the act, with the GJA threatening a legal action against Hajia Fati. But the party says while internal enquires are ongoing, it will also continue to cooperate with other agencies that are investigating the matter. A statement under the signature of the acting General Secretary, John Boadu, condemns the attacks and distances the party from the act.
