Simon Ndirangu Mwangi is one of the millions of young graduates that discover an education doesn’t necessarily translate into employment. It empowers young people – students and recent college and university graduates – to translate what they’ve learned into actionable steps that make them competitive in the job or business market. But our education system is based on the premise that everyone will get a job if they have the right qualifications. In our parents’ days, it was almost a guarantee that if you had a degree, you’d get a job and stay at that job for decades. I wanted to be a part of the solution, so when I got back to Nairobi, I quit my management consulting job to set up The Bridge.
