To mark the occasion, the Academy Of Canadian Cinema and Television (or the Canadian Academy) sent CBC Radio's q something special: Trebek's never-before-heard acceptance speech, which was to be broadcast live at the Canadian Screen Awards on March 29, 2020. Of course, the ceremony was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and so Trebek's speech never aired.
