When we first started the show, we hadn’t envisioned it living anywhere but a podcast feed. But when American Public Media came to us and asked, “What if ‘The Daily’ came to radio stations?” we thought, that’s brilliant. We have public radio in our DNA. Our founding team is full of former public radio folks: Lisa Tobin from WBUR, Andy Mills from “Radiolab” at WNYC, and me from “All Things Considered” at NPR. The time constraints on public radio are no joke: 20 minutes, 18 seconds.
