The Montie three including Salifu Maase, Alistair Nelson, Ako Gunn who were jailed four months for contempt left the prison Friday morning after serving just one month of their four-month jail term. Their release comes after President John Mahama granted them a pardon upon the advice of the Council of State. He said people were advised not to jubilate the release of the three because they were not happy with the venom that was spewed by them. If it is victory at all, then it is victory that they have gone through a democratic process to get them pardoned,” he added.
