MANILA, Philippines — Two soldiers were killed and 11 others were wounded when an airstrike caused a buildings to collapse around them in Marawi City. "Large debris from heavily reinforced buildings accidentally hit two of our personnel who succumbed to death in the process," he said. Eleven other soldiers were hit by sharpnel and "are ambulatory and are recuperating in a nearby hospital." The AFP has formed a group to investigate why the bomb was off target "and prevent the chances of it occurring." Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said that the Air Force had run out of precision-guided rockets and had used a conventional bomb for that air strike.
