The National League North side produced one of the biggest FA Cup upsets of all time as they beat holders Crystal Palace 2-1 at Moss Rose. Macclesfield saw it out though, defending bravely to earn themselves a place in the fourth round of the FA Cup, continuing their dream run in the competition. They had previously beaten AFC Totton and Slough Town to reach the third round, but Crystal Palace is comfortably the biggest scalp they've claimed after years of challenges. John Rooney is looking to forge his own career in management and has certainly sealed his name in the history of the FA Cup.
