St. Mary’s College at Sulthan Bathery in the district will host the Calicut University Inter-zone Arts Festival, from May 1 to 5. Journalist Abhilash Mohan will inaugurate the stage events at 4 p.m. on Friday, the organisers said in a release here. 436 collegesClose to 5,000 students from 436 colleges in six zones under the university will compete in 106 events, including 62 stage events, on five stages. The festival this year is titled ‘Wayanart-2019’ and the stages have been named as Abhimanyu Nagar, Vemula Nagar, Gauri Lankesh Nagar, Govind Pansare Nagar, and Kalburgi Nagar. This is the first time that Sulthan Bathery is hosting the festival.
