The dream of Watford snatching a play-off place is now well and truly over. A 1-1 draw against an already relegated Sheffield Wednesday is simply not good enough – and has deflated any hope Watford supporters had of a late charge towards promotion. In a match that could have seen the Hornets 3-0 up at half-time, in classic football - and Watford - fashion, we instead concede. Put simply, if Sheffield Wednesday take two points off you this season, you do not deserve to be in the hunt for promotion. While the late, scrappy goal from Vivaldo Semedo saved our blushes to a certain extent, the result still signifies the end of the season for Watford.
