KUALA SELANGOR: Water supply in various parts of the Klang Valley is expected to be fully restored by the weekend, following the ongoing repair works at the SSP3 water treatment plant. “The water supply will be restored in stages after the repair works are completed,” he told reporters at the SSP3 water treatment plant in Bukit Badong yesterday. The water supply in the Petaling, Klang/Shah Alam, Gombak and Kuala Lumpur districts is expected to be fully restored by 6pm on Sunday, while the water supply in Kuala Langat and Hulu Selangor is expected to be fully restored at 6am on Saturday. According to Zaidy, the surge vessel system burst while a broken valve of one of the pumps was being fixed. Zaidy said checks by the National Water Services Commission (Span) on Feb 5 showed that four pumps at the water treatment plant were in need of repairs.
