Winnipeg city crews are working to fix a water main break that flooded a section of the city's most famous intersection, Portage and Main, on Thursday morning. The intersection, along with a big stretch of southbound Main Street, was covered by a muddy lake in the morning. There was like a little river running down Main Street," said William Dumont, who works near Portage and Main. Some of the water has seeped into the underground concourse at Portage and Main, including the Winnipeg Square shopping centre. Buckets collect water dripping from the ceiling outside Lee Kyungho's convenience store, Eshel Tree, in the underground concourse below Portage and Main.
