According to CAK, the probe is examining potential unlawful conduct such as abuse of dominance and collusive tendering within the sector. The authority stressed that the raids do not constitute a finding of wrongdoing but form part of a broader investigation. Director-General David Kemei said the intervention aims to safeguard consumers and ensure fair competition in a market serving millions of households.
