A behind closed doors discussion about Sir Tim Shadbolt’s performance chairing a council meeting was prompted soon after the meeting wrapped up this week. Although Shadbolt has defended his ability to lead meetings and suggested the public view the video of Tuesday’s meeting to make up their own mind. Deputy mayor Nobby Clark and chief executive Clare Hadley had previously offered up that support, but both attended Tuesday's meeting via a video link. Cr Rebecca Amundsen said the latest council meeting showed what the two independent reports, prepared by Richard Thomson, had already made clear. Cr Allan Arnold said, because Tuesday's meeting was live-streamed, “those that were looking will be the judge”.
