In Basundhara residential area, protesting students shouted slogans, demanding justice for Abrar Ahmed Chowdhury—an honours first-year student of BUP’s International Relations Department—who was run over and killed on the spot by a Suprovat Paribahan bus. Students of Viqarunnisa Noon School & College, and Siddheswari Degree College, have expressed their solidarity with the protesting students. BUP students have since been joined by students of other educational institutions.
