This July will be the first Soccer Week in Edmonton featuring a friendly match with Cardiff City and Real Valladolid at Commonwealth Stadium on July 20. The week also features FC Edmonton hosting Valour FC at Clark Stadium on July 17, coaches clinics, minor soccer community events, a women’s club soccer showcase game and the Soccer Night of Stars gala. The week of soccer highlights the love of soccer that Edmonton has and begins the buildup to the possibly hosting a World Cup game in 2026.
