(CNN) — A hillside near the Alaskan community of Lowell Point was still unstable after a Saturday landslide that blocked the road connecting the resort area to the city of Seward. No one was hurt when the slide occurred, Seward City Manager Janette Bower said in a Facebook post Saturday. According to Ballou, no utilities were damaged in the landslide and communication remains open with Lowell Point. Dramatic video from a bystander shows tall trees sliding down the steep hill and toppling onto the bayside roadway. It’s unclear what triggered the landslide, but Lowell Road frequently has falling rocks and avalanches, according to Beck.
