After nine years in the top job Dunedin Mayor Dave Cull is stepping down at the end of the week. Watch his full valedictory speech below:In his final speech, Mr Cull told his fellow councillors as well as council staff and members of the public that he could ''not overstate the privilege'' having the role had been. He referenced the ''bitter stadium debate that divided our community'', fiscal challenges, and a lack of trust in the council. ''There is almost nothing a mayor can achieve on his or her own." Among those to pay tribute the outgoing mayor was his most vocal critic councillor Lee Vandervis.
