KUALA LUMPUR: A man caused a stir at Melbourne Airport on Wednesday when he rushed past gate security staff and tried to storm a plane which was preparing for take-off. The 57-year-old was apparently furious when told by Jetstar staff that he was hours late for his flight to Adelaide. Video taken by a passenger at the airport, which has since gone viral on social media, shows the man at the top of airstairs still attached to a Jetstar plane bound for Sydney. He is seen trying to pry the jet’s door open, using his left foot as leverage – as airport staff, including baggage handlers in high-visibility vests, mount the stairs. According to witnesses, the man put up a fierce fight with the airport employees, two of whom were injured in the scuffle.
