A case has been registered, but no person has been arrested so far. A 55-year-old man who was allegedly attacked by a group of 'gau rakshaks' for transporting cows in Rajasthan’s Alwar, died on Monday, reported Indian Express. Pehlu Khan (55) and five others were allegedly beaten by the vigilante group after they suspected him of smuggling cows through Rajasthan. Police said that Khan and at least four others were attacked even as they produced documents to show that they had purchased the cows. The incident took place after the gau rakshaks affiliated with the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal stopped four vehicles.
